For more than 50 years Ellis Island Hotel, Casino & Brewery has offered just that—a laid-back atmosphere where both locals and visitors converge for some brews, grub and gambling. LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Front Yard Beer Garden opens Dec. At Ellis Island Hotel and Casino. Of course, Ellis Island’s Brewery’s famous microbrews are still all on tap. A Las Vegas landmark for more than 50 years, Ellis Island is thrilled to announce the highly-anticipated opening of The Front Yard, the property’s new beer.

A note about the new restrictions

We are OPEN doing all that we can to keep everybody safe. With the newest round of restrictions from Governor Sisolak from November 22nd, we are currently operating at 25% occupancy, with mandatory reservations and no parties larger than FOUR people. Please bear with us as we try and navigate these new regulations. We will still be open nightly, plus weekend brunch and Sunday Game Days. With the limited seating we strongly suggest that you make your reservations fast as seating will fill up, especially during weekends. Thank you for all your support, we are all in this together.

COVID-19 Updates:
+ No more than 4 guests will be allowed at a table (this includes people standing around a table
+ 25% occupancy: We removed some of our tables so that all our seating complies with the 25% occupancy rule
+Masks must be worn while guests are not actively eating and drinks.

About Us:
​​The Front Yard is a two-story indoor/outdoor venue with a casual brewpub atmosphere with a premium bar and full-service restaurant showcasing Ellis family favorite recipes such as house-cured bacon and brisket, and dishes incorporating craft beers from its own Ellis Island Brewery. The Front Yard will also feature a variety of brews straight from Ellis Island Brewery to the tap, serving fresh beers that rotate seasonally.
The beer garden features a second-floor atrium with unobstructed views of the Las Vegas Strip. Retractable ceiling shades, expansive windows, rich wood fixtures, exposed steel, low lighting, and Instagram-worthy garden walls present a lush outdoor atmosphere. The Front Yard offers bar top gaming and great vantage points from either floor to watch the game on any of the HD TVs including the 18-foot big screen. Guests will also enjoy the live entertainment featured weekly, ranging from DJs and local acts to headliners and special events including New Year’s Eve, the Big Game and more.

With karaoke, restaurants, gaming and a brewery, Ellis Island Casino has long been a destination for lovers of drink. And by early December, there should be a new attraction at the beloved spot: the Front Yard.

If you’ve driven down Koval Lane at any point this year, you’ve probably seen the construction. A large, two-story venue has risen from the former parking lot in front of the casino. It’s adorned with expansive windows and crowned by a distinctive glass roof that can open or close, depending on the weather.

The Front Yard will be a beer garden and restaurant featuring live music and bar games. It will hold up to 300 people in a unique indoor/outdoor environment capitalizing on Strip views while blocking out road noise. “Ellis Island is a pretty small property, so we’re expanding our footprint by a good amount,” Marketing Director Christina Ellis says.

Ellis also sounds excited about being able to rent out the venue for private events. She says people always ask if they can hold corporate events or get married at Ellis Island, and for the longest time, the answer was no. Soon there will be a beautiful space with high visual appeal. “It’s just a cool place to extend all the things we have going inside of Ellis Island and push them into the new venue,” Ellis says.

The Front Yard will feature 18 taps on its main bar and 12 on its second story, so there’s room for lots of flavors. Of course, Ellis Island’s own brews will be on offer, including seasonal and short specialty batches. Expect guest taps designated for one-off recipes, visiting breweries and local breweries.

While Ellis Island is already home to several dining options, the Front Yard will feature a kitchen with a new menu filled with family recipes. Ellis, a granddaughter of founder Frank Ellis, is in the process of building the menu with her father, sister and a chef.

“I feel like we’ve been teasing it for so long,” Ellis says, pointing to a December 6-7 planned grand opening. “It’s really opening, I promise. And it’s coming very soon.”
